★"Toshogu" (Toshogu, Ueno)★
I went to a shrine in Ueno park called "Toshogu""東照宮"
"God Inari" was enshrined Inari Shrine.
How about Toshogu?
It is existed persons to be enshrined in Toshogu.
Their name are
" Tokugawa Ieyasu "
" Tokugawa Yoshimune "
" Tokugawa Yoshinobu "
Tokugawa Ieyasu was posthumously enshrined at Nikkō Tōshō-gū with the name Tōshō Daigongen (東照大権現).
After the death of exist person had been enshrined as a god by ancient Japanese,
Then, many shrine there are in Japan.
"Michizane" is now worshipped as a god of wisdom.
So shrine is also popular.
Many people, visit Michizane worshipped shrine various places in Japan for praying the success in examination.
"Toshogu" also in various parts of Japan.
Among them,
"Toshogu,Nikko"
has been designated a World Heritage site.
Also
"Toshogu,Kunozan"
Has been designated a national treasure.
1603, Tokugawa Ieyasu established government calld "EdoBkuhu" in Edo.
Then,Edo Bakuhu was continued for about 260 years.
That during period is called the "Edo period".
"Edo" was renamed "Tokyo( the capital of Japan )" now.
Enough to be called a "peaceful and tranquil on the surface"
It seems to have been a peaceful era.
Kabuki, Noh (masked dance-drama), Haiku (Japanese poem), Ukiyoe (Japanese woodblock prints), Rakugo (comic story-telling), academic, temple erected, lacquerware,pottery, soba, sushi, tempura, gambling,etc ....
It is a era when Japan's unique culture of countless developed.
I think due to the culture of the Edo period is greater,
foreigner has the image of traditional Japanese.
